OPI Liquid Sand Can't Let Go in Ruffian Style

I am sure by now you must have seen loads of swatches of the OPI Liquid Sand from their Mariah Carey Collection.  Today I am showing you my interpretation of the Liquid Sand in Can't Let go, in Ruffian style!

For the base, I have one coat of Layla Mirror Effects in Metal Chrome (01) and then, I freehanded two coats of Can't Let Go.  Voilá!  Doing the ruffian nails was actually not as hard as I imagined, though it required steady hand.

This is how it looks after two coats of Gelous.

I do love that the Liquid Sand is not dull to look at as compared to other textured polish I have tried and it does sparkle under certain lighting.

What's your take on the textured nail trend?  If it looks too much for you, why not try this mini set to get a feel for it before going all out?!

  3. I haven't really fallen in love with the liquid sand polishes, but I love the two-texture ruffian you've created here, very striking :) xx

  5. Love your ruffian mani!!! And I got myself the mini set and wore Can't Let Go just the other day. I loved it and I also don't mind the sandy surface of the nails. I actually can wear these glitters to work - an added bonus ;-)

  6. LOVE that combo and very nice twist on it with the ruffian! I may have to do that once my nails are a bit longer. And I'm in love with the textured polishes, which I didn't think I would be.

  7. I am loving the Liquid Sand collection. This ruffian looks stunning! I thought I wouldn't like it with top coat but it looks surprisingly nice. I have yet to top coat my LS polishes.

  9. I love what you have done with the ruffian style of the liquid sand against the other polish - it gives it a different dimension...I bought these minis the other day, but I just wasn't keen - I think I am a gloss girl! they do look lovely on your nails.

  13. I LOVE this style, it looks stunning in your pictures. A question I'm sure you've been asked a million times, Gelous, can you use it just like top coat? I know it's from Sally's, but I wanted to know if it was worth purchasing for glitter top coat?

  14. I'm not sure yet, if I like or not this kind of finish. I can say for sure I do really love the way this sand polish looks w/TC! It's amazing! I think I'm considering to try the miniset.

  15. I just got the entire liquid sand collection and I love it. I thought I would use it and then immediately put a top coat over it. However, I've been wearing 'as is' and have been getting so many compliments. I can do so much with these. If it weren't for this blog I wouldn't have even known about this exciting collection. Thanks Polish Addict!!
