Cirque Dark Horse

Dark Horse is part of my recent purchase from Cirque, a New York based indie brand. Their nail polish is hand-blended and B3 free.

Dark Horse has a clear base loaded with black glitter as well as multi-colour glitter.  It lit up immediately under sunlight and sparkles like a colourful galaxy, really beautiful!

Dark Horse is sheer and it'll need at least 3-4 coats to cover the nail completely.  So instead of applying on its own, I have it layered over a black base, topped with one coat of Gelous and Seche Vite respectively.  Mind you, it's really thirsty for top coat so be prepared to layer on for a smooth and glassy look!

  3. It's a very beautiful nailpolish.
You write that you have topped the nailspolish with one coat of Gelous and Seche Vite. I know the Seche Vite, but what is the Gelous, is that a topcoat or a clear nailpolish and if it is a topcoat, what is the difference between the Gelous and the Seche Vite.

    1. Gelous is a clear polish with a gel like consistency, dries to a glossy finish. By design, it's supposed to be used as a base coat, but within the nail community, a lot of ppl are using Gelous to top up glitter polish to achieve a smooth, glassy look. Or why not google it for more accurate information?! I might be wrong!
      Thanks for stopping by ^^

  4. Really pretty - not thrilled that it's so sheer and that to make it look this good you needed to put it on over a deep cream base and then still need to deal with the grit and to get a good shine. But if the polished lasted well after all that might be worth it. I don't have any of this brand (yet)...I am thinking it was the one that was trying to nab the name of caviar beads for their own? Might have that mixed up with another brand.

  5. I've been drooling over Cirque's polishes since the first time I saw them swatched...they're unbelievably stunning! And, just like any other stunning goodie, it's impossible for us in Italy to have them, without risking to face the duty :(

    2. I don't know if you in the UK know about Murphy's laws...I'm a bit starcrossed in overseas purchases. Some time ago I bought some wheels and some stamping plates from BornPrettyStore. No polishes at all. The parcel was blocked, almost destroyed by duty's gentle personnel while controlling it, and then delivered to me in very bad conditions. I'm a bit afraid of buying polishes from abroad XD
