Smashed from Estee Lauder 2012 Metal Mania Pure Color Nail Lacquer collection was the latest hot addition to my nail stash. Smashed was surprisingly gorgeous and it was my first Estee Lauder nail lacquer!
To be honest, I wasn't drawn to this brand before as EL smelled maturity and pure 'sophistication' which wasn't my cup of tea at all, although I am a fan of their Advanced Night Repair Serum for quite a while. But then Smashed totally changed my perception. It was stunning and I instantly fell in love with it!

Smashed is a deep purple shade with a red undertone and loaded with purple and blue shimmer particles. They really shine under illumination and give you the glassy and 'shine from within' look. So FABULOUS!
I have 2 coats of Smashed with top coat for swatches shown.

Smashed is a perfect shade for fall. It really surprised me that Estee Lauder came up with this kind of nail polish and it's a great job done - I am totally sold! There's an added bonus - it didn't stain my nails at all!!

ReplyDeleteOh my! This is gorg! I have not bought a EL polish since the 80's...but last yr they had a collection that I had some shades I was lemming for. But alas, no where for 140 miles of me sells EL. I have to head to that town pretty soon so I will be looking at the EL fall polishes.

DeleteI am glad you are onto the Estee polishes- they are incredible! If you are seeking some discontinued colors, check out the outlet store Cosmetics Company if they are near you. you can pick them up there for about $13 and may find some colors you missed. (PS bloomingdales still carries Metallic Sage online) I love the Estee colors and am psyched about the fall collections. I hope to see you swatch some more- loved your Chaos gradient and Viper stamp!
