Fancy some good old French tips?
Base colour was two coats of Topshop Powder; for the tips I used OPI Alpine Snow, which has a pigmented formula and so perfect for the occasion. Then I applied a thin strip of Nails Inc Noel Street (silver glitter) to mask the imperfect tips.
Below are swatches of Topshop Powder alone; two coats. Powder and two other shades (Valley & Chase) are the latest additions to Topshop nail line. They are creamy pastel shades with silver shimmer.
Powder is a girlie light pink, the silver shimmer in it is not the strongest among the three (which I shall share swatches subsequently) but still visible on the nails. Formula was a bit tricky, it went rather streaky on the first coat but became completely opaque on the second, which I applied rather generously.
It's quite different from the orange or neon trend which have been dominating the scene for a while, but I think it's a very refreshing palette cleanser!
Powder is available at topshop.com for £6.00 a pop. I prefer to get my bottles at a store to avoid the shipping cost ;)
