Olympic Nails

I love the Essie Mirror Metallics sooo much that I just cannot let them sit in the Helmer.  (You can find my swatches here if you missed it earlier.)  Since the Olympic is just round the corner here in England, I created this Olympic inspired gradient nails. Let's see if you like it or hate it!

Essie No Place Like Chrome - Good As Gold - Penny Talk

I guess the sponge-on method is nothing new to you.  It's easy to do but such a pain to clean up because the metallic polish is REALLY HARD to remove.  No matter how much acetone I used, there's still traces of 'metallic pigment' got stuck in the cuticle.  But then staring (yes, I kept stared ^^) at the final result, all the 'harsh' work was worth it after all.

One thing, I was wondering are you bothered by the textured finish?  The Mirror Metallics are supposed to be smooth and reflective but the surface was rendered textured after sponging.

Anyway, I am loving this Olympic manicure. Hope you like it as well!
