Nails Inc Royal Arcade Nail Jewellery + Kensington Park Road

I have been wanting the Nails Inc Nail Jewellery varnishes ever since I saw their promo material online.  I was so excited when they finally arrived in the nail mail just before the weekend.  They are not exactly cheap at £11 a pop. I was actually waiting for Nails Inc to put the Nail Jewellery into the Pick & Mix offer but they haven't as at time of posting.  Well, I gave in and placed my order for the Royal Arcade (blue glitter) and the Princes Arcade (the fuchsia glitter with scattered holograph).  For today, I first shared with you the swatches of the Royal Arcade, which is a mix of micro, small, medium and large bright blue glitters.

Two coats of Royal Arcade over a black base.  So wonderfully shiny and full of glitz!

This is one coat of Royal Arcade over black (indoor artificial light, no flash)

As you can see, you can stay safely with two coats for complete coverage.

Pure glitter madness!!!

Next I tried layering it over a new Neon shade from Nails Inc, Kensington Park Road.  Below is two coats of Kensington Park Road, a neon blue.  Honestly, I wouldn't say there's neon in it, I'd say it's a very bright blue instead.  The first coat went on quite streaky but a second coat did even out nicely.

Below is two coats of Royal Arcade over Kensington Park Road.  I think the blue of Royal Arcade pops out more when layered over another blue. But in terms of glitz and bling, I much prefer it over a black base as the contrast definitely brings out more sparkle.

  1. I am waiting for these to go into the pic and mix offer too, and have been dying to see swatches as the pics on the Nails Inc site are poor. These ae BEAUTIES! I am so glad Nails Inc are FINALLY being more adventurous! I MUST OWN THIS SOON.. do you think they will go into the pic n mix offer - the 3d glitters did.. but I am worried they wont and I want them so bad :( Great swatches, I love it over black.. I would love to do a jelly sandwich with these too! x

  8. These are as beautiful as I thought they would be, I have resisted buying these ever since I saw them in Instyle as I can't afford the £11 and I don't need them but they are soooo pretty!

  15. Your swatches are gorgeous, I am sure it is really awesome in person. Great job.
I picked up a similar blue glitter at Icing here in the US called Disco Ball (weirdly) for around four bucks. It is one of my favorites because the larger hexes are so reflective. I love this type of glitter mixture!!
