Ladies, Valentine's Day mani was off and currently in place is Ciate Jewel. Now that I have actually painted my nails with it, I am totally sold! Ciate Jewel is FREAKING AWESOME!!! Swatching it on nail wheels and having all your nails painted with it were totally different. I can't stop staring at my nails as they are so super-unbelievably-sparkly...
The sad thing is, to capture its true beauty is no easy task at all. I tried photographing under my regular camera light but it just fell flat no matter which angle I used (frustrating...). Thankfully with the help of hubby, I finally took some photos which I think could showcase the glitzy-ness of Jewel. But please be aware, the color of Jewel was slightly distorted under the intense lighting, which under the circumstance, was necessary to capture its true beauty.
The two shots below were under regular lighting, which best represent the true color of Ciate Jewel.
This one was out focus on purpose.
Jewel is really amazing! I am in awe of its glitzy-ness!
No matter how hard I tried, the photos still could not do it justice. You have to see for yourself ^^
For this manicure, I used:
1 x Base Coat
1 x Max Factor Moon Dust
2 x Ciate Jewel
1 x Seche Vite Top Coat
Wow, it does look a lot different to the nail wheel. It's stunning in your photos - I'm sold. Such an eye-catching and multidimensional gorgeous glitter.

DeleteWow! I didn't think I would like this one but I'm totally sold! One question - did you use some sort of glitter tamer or will a regular top coat do? I was a but scared that the bar glitter would be sticking up and not smoothed down!
ReplyDeleteNo glitter tamer, I just used one generous coat of Seche Vite. And don't worry, the bar glitter won't be sticking up but some of it do stick out at the nail edge, I just give it a pat to smooth it out :)
